History and Legacy

The Leo Club Program was initiated by Lions Clubs International in 1957 to engage young individuals in service projects that nurture leadership and social skills. Over the years, Leo District 322D has achieved significant milestones:

1957

The first Leo Club was established in 1957 at Abington High School, Pennsylvania, focusing on Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity to inspire youth in community service.

1967

In 1967, Lions Clubs International recognized the Leo Club Program, enabling its global reach and uniting young leaders under the motto We Serve.

Establishment of 322D

Leo District 322D has since expanded, uniting multiple clubs in Eastern India with diverse initiatives, ranging from environmental sustainability to health awareness campaigns.

Impact

Leo District 322D has supported over 10,000 individuals annually through community services, and its leaders have contributed to the transition from Leos to Lions, ensuring continuity in leadership and service.
